The Format

Run. Work.
Repeat.

Eight kilometers of running, broken up by eight stations. A 1,000m run comes before every station, and the race closes with 100 wall balls.

Sled push, sandbag carry, ski erg, row erg, burpee broad jumps, goblet walking lunge, farmers carry, wall balls. Same course for everyone — the weights change by division.

Spectators

Come watch. It’s free.

Entry to NorCal Hybrid is free for all spectators. Bring your family, bring your gym, bring a chair. No ticket, no wristband, no cover — just show up and cheer.

One thing to plan for: parking isn’t free.

Cal Expo charges for parking, and it is not included with race entry or spectator access. Every vehicle pays at the gate on arrival, athletes included. Budget for it, bring a card, and carpool if you can — it’s per vehicle, not per person.

Free entry · Paid parking

The Venue

Cal Expo, Sacramento.

Wide open ground in the middle of Sacramento, with room for a real outdoor course and a festival footprint around it. Open sky start to finish — no climate control, no convention center floor.
